An AU tradie marketplace built to fix the per-lead fee problem that's pricing small operators out of the category.

The problem

Existing tradie marketplaces (the major incumbents) charge tradies $20–60 per lead — often for unqualified or duplicate jobs. Small operators get squeezed: pay-to-play with no quality control, no transparency on competitor pricing, and no relationship with the homeowner until after the lead is bought. The category needs a fairer model.

What we built

Multi-sided platform where homeowners post jobs, verified tradies bid transparently, and quality signals (response time, completed jobs, ratings) compound over time. Built around the same data + AI playbook as Car Scout — automated lead-qualification, intent classification, fraud detection. Modular by trade vertical so each (plumbing, electrical, gardening) can be tuned independently.

  • Verified-tradie onboarding flow with licence + insurance checks
  • AI-powered job classification to route enquiries to the right trade
  • Lower per-lead economics than incumbents (model still being tuned)
  • Currently in active build — early-access tradies onboarding
