Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the DLK Portal platform ("Portal", "Service") operated by DLK Studio ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Portal, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Account and Access

Access to the Portal is by invitation only. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your login details with third parties. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Portal to:

  • Upload, store, or transmit any content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
  • Upload explicit, pornographic, or sexually exploitative content of any kind, including content involving minors
  • Upload malware, viruses, executables, or any malicious code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data or accounts
  • Use the AI assistant to generate harmful, illegal, or deceptive content
  • Circumvent storage limits, rate limits, or other technical restrictions
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Use the Service for any activity that violates applicable Australian law or international law

3. Content and Files

You retain ownership of all content you upload to the Portal. By uploading content, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We may use AI to analyse uploaded files (summarisation, text extraction) as part of the Service features.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or applicable law, and to suspend accounts associated with such content without prior notice.

4. AI Assistant

The Portal includes an AI assistant ("Clive") that can help manage your projects, calendar, and preferences. AI-generated responses are provided as-is and should not be relied upon as professional advice (legal, financial, medical, or otherwise). We are not liable for decisions made based on AI outputs.

5. Storage and Plans

Each plan tier includes a storage quota. Files exceeding your quota cannot be uploaded until storage is freed or your plan is upgraded. We may adjust plan pricing and features with 30 days notice. Individual file uploads are limited to 50 MB.

6. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Portal is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We take reasonable measures to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining backups of critical data.

7. Account Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, suspected illegal activity, or non-payment. Upon suspension, access to the Portal and all stored data will be restricted. You may request a data export before account deletion.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, DLK Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, business interruption, or loss of profits.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
